Patrica Crawford

Patricia (Trish) Crawford

Many Northcliffe people will have met Trish Crawford who, with her husband Ian, owned a Northcliffe property for 30 years and will be saddened to learn of her death on 28th April 2009.  She fought breast cancer for 8 years and never gave in or lost her sense of fun and humour.

She was a Professor of History at the University of WA and she and Ian wrote a most scholarly and readable history of Northcliffe called ‘Contested Country’.  She loved this area and nothing gave her greater pleasure than to walk around their block and to identify the great variety of wildflowers and plants that grew there.

Our condolences go out to Ian and their son Rupert, Mandy and their boys Xavier and Michael.

If anyone has any memories, photos, etc. that they wish to share please get in touch with John Walters at johnwalters@westnet.com.au  and he will be happy to add them as a tribute to our friend.
