Northcliffe is the ecotourism centre of the South West. This is one of the few areas in the world where the pristine wilderness is so accessible. Northcliffe has a lot to offer the person who wants to get back to nature and really experience it.

Walking
Northcliffe is a walker's paradise with many excellent walk trails that cater for the novice up to the expert. There is a trail to suit you that will show you the natural wonders of the South West or test your stamina and skill. Brochures for four marked trails are available from the Tourist Centre.

The Bibbulmun Walk Track from Perth passes through the beautiful Northcliffe Forest Park on its way to Albany.

More information on local walks trails is available from the Northcliffe Tourist Centre

Lane Pool Falls

Mountain Bike Riding
What better place to enjoy a ride or race amongst the timber giants of the south west. The Northcliffe Tourist centre can show you trails to suit your skills and mood.
The Federation Track begins just next to the Northcliffe Pioneer Museum and the Boorara Conservation Park has the mountain bike track designed for the Karri Cup.

Events to look out for are the The WA Mountain Bike championship time trials and annual Great Karri Ride, contact the Northcliffe Tourist Centre for more information

Canoeing and Kayaking
With the beautiful rivers of the South West beckoning to those who cannot live without water, Northcliffe is the ideal spot as the base for your wet adventures.

Swimming and Surfing.
Windy Harbour has some beautiful swimming and calm beaches. But just around the corner is Salmon Beach, where the large breakers are sometimes too irresistible, even to seasoned locals.

Fishing
The Windy Harbour settlement and camp grounds are only 27 kilometres from Northcliffe, with sheltered bays and limestone cliffs of Point D'Entrecasteaux. Windy Harbour is one of the fishing spots to try you skill and luck. Enjoy the newly constructed tourist drive to the lighthouse or take a trip to Salmon Beach
